Kurzweil K2700 jest wyposażony w 88-klawiszową klawiaturę z klawiszami typu Piano.
Pośród elementów kontrolnych do wykorzystania na żywo podczas gry obok klasycznych kółek Pitch Bend i Modulation z dodatkowymi klawiszami szybkiej transpozycji, sekcji 9 suwaków i 9 potencjometrów, widzimy pasek Ribbon Controller oraz nowość w serii K – szesnaście PADów. Z tyłu mamy dodatkowe 4 gniazda na pedały kontrolne – dwa Switch (SW1 Sustain i SW2) oraz dwa Expression (CC1 i CC2).
Wejścia audio w postaci dwóch gniazd combo XLR/jack 1/4” są opisane na panelu jako Audio Interface z potencjometrami Gain, przełącznikiem na tryb wysokoimpedancyjny Hi-Z oraz włącznikiem zasilania Phantom dla mikrofonów pojemnościowych lub aktywnych DI-BOXów.
